I know the yearbook photographer is kind of lame. Same background, same pose, it’s like a conveyer belt of kids going one after another. The cool thing is when it’s your senior year, most of the schools around here let you choose to have your yearbook photograph done by a different professional photographer. We actually photograph the yearbook photos for free for our high school senior portrait clients! It’s included in your full senior session fee. We guarantee that it won’t look like everyone else’s when the yearbooks come out! But, each school’s deadline is different and it’s best to get it out of the way.
On Saturday I got to photography one of our Facebook Models from Tahoma High School in Maple Valley. Her first set of senior portrait sessions took place in Downtown Seattle and Alki Beach. I think her fun and confident nature really came through the lens. Her whole family came along for the portrait sessions; it was nice getting to know them too!
Our Senior Portrait Manager will have her highlight video up on Facebook and Youtube later this week, watch for them! And if you’re not connected with our Facebook Page, be sure to sign up, you will save you $25 on your session fee! Also, if you’re friends with Melissa from Tahoma, contact her and ask how you can save even more off of your senior pictures just for dropping her name!
On Friday one of our Facebook Models from Hazen High School came in for her first set of senior portraits here at our studio in Renton! She was leaving for a 2 week vacation, so we decided to start here at the photo studio, but her other sessions will take place in Seattle and a lake up by Newcastle. Redheads photograph great, it’s something about the hair color and contrasting nature of their skin tone. I look forward to photographing Ashley again!

What a year! Thanks Jordan for letting Bruce capture who you are throughout your entire senior year! Her first session was last summer out at Alki Beach. We had another session during the summer on her parent’s boat, where I also did some family portraits for her family. It’s pretty cool that Bruce has worked with Jordan’s family for over 20 years! Next we photographed Jordan this Spring in downtown Seattle and up on Queen Ann Hill. We just finished putting together an entire album for Jordan, it’s sure to rival her sister’s, who we also photographed and created an album for a few years ago! Enjoy the little slideshow I put together below. It’s also up on Facebook and Youtube:
Thanks Jordan for choosing Seniors by Hudson’s! If anyone else is thinking of having multiple sessions throughout the year, check out our 4 Seasons Session Package!

The 2011 Model Shoots are Underway! We had our first model shoot last Saturday! It was for Julie- Class of 2011 from Tahoma High School. She plans on going to UW for college, what better place to start her senior portraits at! We snapped a few shots of her inside the stadium then headed to Queen Ann Hill’s Kerry Park overlooking Seattle. Thanks Julie for a great session, can’t wait for the next one! If you want to be one of our Facebook Models, fill out an application and send it in! You’ll find applications on this blog and our Facebook page!

A few days ago we photographed Cameron aka “The Sherm’s” second senior portrait session at the studio. He was a Facebook model for us this year from Skyline HS in Issaquah, he had his first session out towards Mt. Si. He’s really into rap and producing his own music. He’s even been writing his own beats since Jr. High! I’ve known him ever since I was a little kid, his dad Jack is one of Bruce’s best friends, so we grew up together in a sense. It’s cool seeing him graduate this year, but it’s even cooler seeing him develope a passion for music. His stuff is pretty good! He’s producing a track for his senior portrait highlight video I’ll be posting in a week or so, should be pretty sweet! I’ll post it on Facebook and Youtube for everyone to see.
Bailie’s parents have been clients of our studio for many years, we even photographed Bailie’s older brother for his senior portraits a few years ago too. Bailie is a level 3 black belt! We were able to capture some action shots at the studio, I think they turned out nicely! Congrats on your senior year Bailie, it was fun working with you!
Believe it or not, it’s still senior season! We are still photographing some 2010 grads and probably will be into mid-May. Now days with digital photography, it only takes us a few days to get your images back, just in time for those grad announcements. If you still need your senior portraits taken, give us a call or schedule them online! CLICK HERE!
This is Marissa, a class of 2010 grad from Auburn HS. We photographed her last week here at the studio. What a beautiful combination of her blue eyes and red hair! Thanks for a great session Marissa! Check out her highlight video below!
What can I say about Conner? He’s a funny guy! Most senior guys dread having their portraits taken, but not Conner! We photographed him at his high school. We were even able to run out on the Lacrosse field during halftime to shoot some cool stuff by the goal. Thanks Conner and his friends for making this a hilarious experience! Watch for the “Tahoma HS Musical” jumping shot in the highlight video, LOL!
Like I said above, there is still time for senior portraits this spring; we look forward to seeing you!
